What is new: old wallets restore from a built-in frontier almanac instead of rescanning from genesis (14 days behind on a phone: ~25 min → seconds); catch-up reads the published shielded chain files over HTTPS when connected to the public node; a new wallet or account is never registered at a stale or zero height.
