What the fuck is ZKas
ZKas is a cryptocurrency that was launched in July 2026. It uses Kaspa’s fast block system and Zcash’s hiding math. Every payment is hidden. You cannot send a public one. Blocks come every second. Kaspa miners can mine ZKas at the same time with no extra electricity.
How the privacy actually works
Zcash lets you choose public or hidden. Most people choose public. Some Zcash users still call the whole thing “shielded.” It is not. Only the people who bother to use the hidden option get privacy. The rest of the chain is open like Bitcoin. Edward Snowden helped start Zcash. He said privacy should happen by itself, not as a choice you have to remember.
Monero hides every payment. It uses mixing and takes about two minutes per block.
ZKas hides every payment with 1s block time and the same strong math Zcash uses (Orchard). There is no public choice. The chain forces it.
Why ZKas is different
Most blockchain projects are slow. They wait for one block to finish before starting the next. Zcash takes 75 seconds. Monero takes even longer. That is normal for them.
ZKas inherited Kaspa’s BlockDAG. Many blocks can be made at the same time. That is why blocks come every second. The hiding math was added on top of this fast system so it does not slow it down.
How the coins are made
No premine. No big stack given to the team at launch. 5% of each block goes to development as it is mined. Later it drops to a small ongoing amount so miners keep going. Normal proof-of-work with hiding from the first block.
• Zcash: Strong math, but you have to choose it. Most do not. Slow.
• Monero: hidden, in theory less private. Slower.
• Dash: Weaker hiding. Optional.
• ZKas: Always hidden. Fast (1 second). Uses the strongest math.
ZKas put two of the best technologies together in one coin.
ZKas took Kaspa’s fast block system and Zcash’s strongest hiding math and put them together in one coin. This is the first time both exist at the same time. Always hidden and one second blocks.
The tail emission is there so miners keep getting paid forever. After the early coins are mined it drops to a small amount that never stops. 0.6 ZKAS per block forever. There is no maximum supply. This keeps the network secure even when most coins are already out. Same idea as Monero.
